Common questions
Do organizers ever pay a percentage of sponsorship revenue?
No. Simple Sponsors does not take a cut of the sponsorship. Organizers either run on Free (limits apply) or Pro at a flat ₹2,499/month. Sponsors pay organizers per published instructions; when optional online checkout is used, normal gateway processing may apply—we still add no platform fee.
Are sponsors charged anything to use the platform?
Never by us on applications. Sponsors pay only what they agreed with the organizer. If optional card/UPI checkout is used, the gateway’s normal processing applies; bank or UPI transfers follow the organizer’s instructions with no Simple Sponsors fee.
What happens to my events if I cancel Pro?
Pro stays active through the paid billing cycle. After renewal fails, your account reverts to Free: one active published event at a time, up to 3 packages, and no featured placement. Existing applications and paid deals continue to settle normally.
How does verification work now?
Every published event is checked automatically on our side. There is no manual review queue and no ₹5,000 verification charge. We removed that extra step to keep things simple.
Can I upgrade and cancel any time?
Yes. Upgrade from /dashboard/billing through Razorpay Subscriptions. Cancel from the same page. The cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current cycle so you are never charged for unused months.
Is Pro available as a yearly plan?
Not right now. Monthly billing keeps the commitment low. Once we launch annual pricing, existing Pro subscribers will get the first offer.
